Cosworth Duratec
Pistons
This is the piston as used in the Caterham CSR260 engine. Produced from 4032 alloy, the Cosworth Duratec piston features a unique racing style piston skirt and X wing style forging. The valve pockets diameters and depths are increased to allow for larger valves and longer cam duration. This piston set includes pins, circlips and rings. The ring pack is Cosworth specific and has been designed and validated for increased combustion pressures and engine speeds.

FSWERKS pistons are made from the highest quality forgings and were designed using sophisticated 3-D modeling software and manufactured with advanced 5-axis techniques making them the lightest and strongest pistons on the market for your Duratec or Zetec. Our pistons feature gas ports, precision cut valve reliefs ( when needed ), and a computer generated CNC machined skirt for tighter piston to wall clearance, which ensures balance weights to +/- 1 gram.Our pistons are also rigorously evaluated with a state of the art FEA program to ensure optimum strength and weight. These are the same pistons that we run in all of our high output built Focuses, including our Street Tuner Challenge Focus. FSWERKS pistons can be ordered for any compression and any bore.
