The best intake for the Ford Focus just got better! Our new Cool-Flo Race system now fits all 2.0L & 2.3L Duratec from 2003-2011. This is a true "cold air" intake system that situates an ITG air filter in the lower front region of the car, away from ALL engine heat. The New Cool-Flo Race system utilizes a easier to install one piece design 3" mandrel bent steel tubing along with laser cut MAF housing and bracketry. Other features include all tig-welded construction and now coated with your choice of silver powdercoat or black wrinkle powdercoat.

Outerwears Pre-filter
The Outerwears Pre-filter is an excellent solution to prevent water from entering into the engine due to puddles or heavy rainstorms. An Outerwears Pre-Filter is designed to be water repellent and will reduce the risk of water entering through an air intake system. Although our Pre-Filters are proven to be extremely effective in repelling water, please keep in mind they are not water proof. If submerged, your intake can hold or pass water.
The water repellency longevity is dependant upon driving conditions and the number of times the filter is cleaned. Generally speaking, we recommend changing the Pre-Filter every 6-12 months. However, a quick test can determine if it is time to change your Pre-Filter. Simply take an ordinary clean spray bottle filled with water and gently spray the Pre-Filter. If the water beads off the Pre-Filter, your water repellency is still working. If you see water enter through the Pre-Filter, it is time to purchase a new Pre-Filter.

How often should I clean my filter?
Maxogen filters that are exposed without protection in the engine bay, fitted either directly to air flow meters, will need regular inspection every other month to make sure that they are still in well oiled condition. Depending on where they are situated and how much work they have to do will depend on how many times a year you will have to wash and re oil them. We would suggest that due to their close proximity to the engine and the possibility of the oil drying out through the air flow and radiant heat that they are cleaned on a regular 6 monthly basis or more frequently depending on how much use or how dirty they get.
